WALWORTH FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1

PETITIONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that candidates wishing to file their names, in writing, with the district secretary for the December 14, 2010 Walworth Fire District No. 1 Fire District Officers Annual Election can obtain blank candidacy signature petitions at the Walworth Fire Hall. Those residents of the fire district wishing to place their names on the December 14, 2010 Fire District Officers Election ballot are required to complete the petition by obtaining twenty-five (25) signatures from qualified registered electors residing in the Walworth Fire District No. 1. For this year, there are three Commissioner positions available that have three different terms of office: one for five years, one for two years and one for one year. The deadline for submission of the petition to the district secretary is November 24, 2010. You may contact any Commissioner or Chief for the form or you may call 315 – 986 – 1517 to have one mailed to you.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ANNUAL BUDGET

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 located in the Towns of Walworth and Macedon, in the County of Wayne, State of New York shall present the Proposed Budget of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 and to discuss the contents of the same.

            Pursuant to Town Law §105, a PUBLIC HEARING will be held at  7:30 o’clock p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Walworth Fire Hall, 2178 Church Street, Walworth, New York  14568.

            The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against any item or items contained in the Proposed Budget as submitted, or to be heard in favor or against the Proposed Budget as submitted.

            A copy of the Proposed Budget is available for viewing at the Walworth Fire Hall at 2178 Church Street, Walworth, New York 14568 by appointment through contacting Chairman Jim Drew at 986 – 1351 (Monday – Friday), or at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Walworth at 3600 Lorraine Drive, Walworth, New York 14568 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, prevailing time, and or at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Macedon at 32 Main Street, Macedon, New York 14502 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, prevailing time.
