The original date for the meeting was Thursday, December 8, 2011. The meeting is now scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 15, 2011. The meeting will commence at 7:30 p.m. at the Walworth Fire Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that candidates wishing to file their names, in writing, with the district secretary for the December 13, 2011 Walworth Fire District No. 1 Fire District Officers Annual Election can obtain blank candidacy signature petitions at the Walworth Fire Hall. Those residents of the fire district wishing to place their names on the December 13, 2011 Fire District Officers Election ballot are required to complete the petition by obtaining twenty-five (25) signatures from qualified registered electors residing in the Walworth Fire District No. 1. For this year, there are two Commissioner positions available that have two different terms of office: one for five years and one for two years. The deadline for submission of the petition to the district secretary is November 23, 2011. You may contact any Commissioner or Chief for the form or you may call 315 – 986 – 1517 to have one mailed to you.

ANNUAL ELECTION
DECEMBER 13, 2011
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of Officers in the Walworth Fire District No. 1 situated in the Town of Walworth, Wayne County, New York, will be held on the 13th day of December, 2011 to elect one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years and one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of two years; all such terms to commence on January 1, 2012. All District Officers must be resident electors in the Walworth Fire District No. 1 at the time of his/her election as well as throughout the term of his/her office.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that such election will be held at the Walworth Fire Hall located at 2178 Church Street, in the Town of Walworth, New York, on the 13th day of December, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., prevailing time, during which time the polls will remain open for the receipt of ballots. All duly registered residents of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 are eligible to vote at this election. November 21, 2011 is the last date to register at the Wayne County Board of Elections to vote in this election.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that petitions nominating candidates for office must be filed with the Secretary of the Fire District at least twenty (20) days prior to December 13, 2011, to wit: on or before November 23, 2011. Each petition shall be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified registered electors of Walworth Fire District No. 1. Petitions for candidacy may be mailed to the Secretary at the following address: Walworth Fire District No. 1, Box 179, Walworth, New York14568.
