Welcome to the Home Page of the Walworth Fire Department & Walworth Ambulance
The Walworth Fire Department is run by the Walworth Fire District, which owns and maintains the firehouse, apparatus, and equipment. The Department provides the manpower for the District. Together, the Department and District work together to provide fire protection for the residents of Walworth. We protect approximately twelve square miles for our fire district. Walworth Ambulance Inc. is a not-for-profit charity operating under the partial control of the Walworth Fire Dept. which provides emergency medical service to the entire Town of Walworth, NY. Since our start in 1929, the Walworth Fire Department has been staffed entirely by volunteers. Over fifty dedicated members provide the manpower and leadership necessary to protect life and property for the the residents of our community. Our volunteers respond to a wide variety of emergencies every year, including:
house fires
chimney fires
car fires
brush fires
gas leaks
carbon monoxide detector activation
chemical spills
motor vehicle accidents
water rescues
farm machinery accidents
electrical wires down
